Wheel alignment
Straight is
a measurement.
Measure
The car goes on the rack and targets mount to the wheels. Nothing is adjusted yet — first the shop reads how the wheels are actually sitting.
Analyze
Those readings come up against your vehicle's factory specification. A pull to one side stops being a guess.
Correct
Adjustable suspension points are set by hand until the angles fall inside spec. This is the part that takes time.
Verify
The wheels are re-measured after adjustment. If a reading is still outside the window, it goes back on the rack.
Drive straight
Straight steering and even tread wear. Ask about alignment when you install new tires.
